      REHOVOT, ISRAEL—If Jews bestowed sainthood on anyone, the first candidate for that honor would probably be Raoul Wallenberg, the Swedish diplomat who saved the lives of tens of thousands of Jews during the last stages of the Holocaust. But Wallenberg was not typical of his country , where anti-Semitism was a fact of life as it was almost everywhere else in Europe.

Don't defend religion by silencing free speech
      NEW YORK (JTA)—A draft resolution that was passed by a committee of the United Nations General Assembly threatens to silence criticism of religion. The resolution, circulated by the Organization of the Islamic Conference, representing more than 50 Muslim nations, is perversely being advanced under the guise of protecting human rights.
