Q. Law you'd repeal? A. Talking on a cell phone while driving- Tracey Diamond, Human Resources, Jewish Federation A. Legalization of marijuana- June Eisner, Famous Household Wizard A. Electoral college- Evelyn Levit, Retired A. No Child Left Behind. It forces teachers to be less creative and more rigid in teaching children specifically what they need to know just to pass the assessments. It's forcing schools to devote less time to class trips and to science, because math and reading are the focus of the assessment. The testing also penalizes teachers of special needs children when these children can't keep up due to developmental delays and other reasons. Students whose intelligence is best assessed in other ways are additionally penalized.- Jackie Pantaliano, President ImPRessions A. I would repeal the law that created income tax withholding. I believe that everyone should be required to go to the IRS on Apr. 15 and pay taxes in cash so they would see how much the government is really taking. Although contacts look better, I could never keep them in my eyes.
