Projects receive funding at second Community Shark Tank


1. J-STEM Lab is a first-of-its-kind facility that will focus on interactive Jewish learning, incorporating science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Thank you to everyone who participated and to the “Sharks” who made this program possible. Each project was funded directly by our Sharks: Joanna Greenfield, representing the Marvin Samson Foundation; Alan Blumenfeld; Emily Gottschalk; and Andi Levin, representing the Jewish Community Foundation, Inc.

3. Check Up from the Neck Up is a series of workshops, articles in the Voice, and light exercise combined together with a focus on reducing the stigma of mental health and alleviating stress. This project was presented by Samost Jewish Family & Children’s Service, the Katz Jewish Community Center, and the Jewish Community Voice. 3. 4. Passport Israel is an advocacy initiative to encourage our teens to participate in programs by providing incentive opportunities. This project was presented by the Jewish Community Relations Council, BBYO, the Israeli American Council, and Jerusalem U. 4.
